Experience
we have been building sailing yachts tailored
to your cruising programme.
Whether centreboard or lifting keel, our yachts offer solutions suited to every sailing programme, from coastal cruising to the most ambitious expeditions. This diversity is built on unique expertise in aluminium yacht construction, developed over more than 50 years of history and 1,800 yachts built.
Alubat designs, builds and sells bluewater cruising yachts in France, in Les Sables d’Olonne, the birthplace of the Vendée Globe, designed to sail anywhere in the world.
At Alubat, every project is unique.
From defining your cruising programme to building your yacht, and well beyond launch day, our teams accompany you at every stage of your project, with expertise, attention and a personal approach. Because a bluewater cruising yacht is much more than a boat: it is a life project, designed to evolve with your sailing, your adventures and the horizons you discover.
Compact, seaworthy, versatile
The OVNI 370 combines strength, safety and freedom in a compact format. Its centreboard allows you to explore shallow waters, while its deck saloon provides exceptional visibility outside, enabling you to keep watch from the comfort and protection of the interior. A real asset for single-handed or short-handed sailing, combining safety, performance, comfort and peace of mind
Bluewater cruising without compromise
Designed for long-distance cruising, the OVNI 430 combines strength, comfort and freedom of navigation. Its generous accommodation provides comfort and autonomy for extended passages. Its 100% aluminium construction and centreboard deliver safety and freedom, allowing you to explore new horizons.
A combination designed to take you further, explore more and fully enjoy life on board.
Opening up new horizons
With its wheelhouse, twin engines and generous storage capacity, the OVNI 490 is designed for the most ambitious cruising projects. It provides the space, autonomy and carrying capacity required for expedition programmes involving substantial equipment and gear.
A yacht designed to live the adventure without limits.
Adventure on a grand scale
The OVNI 650 takes bluewater cruising to a new dimension: more space, more autonomy, more possibilities. Robust, seaworthy and offering exceptional carrying capacity, this centreboard yacht is designed to support the most ambitious expedition programmes.
A yacht without borders, for adventures without limits.
Performance without limits
The CIGALE 15 QR combines performance, lightness and safety in a yacht designed for offshore sailing. Its lifting keel reduces draft and opens up new cruising grounds, while her Finot-Conq design delivers an exceptional sailing experience.
A fast, seaworthy yacht designed to take you further, faster and differently.
For more than 50 years, we have made a choice: aluminium.
Our yachts stand out through their all-aluminium construction. Hull, deck, coachroof, cockpit and superstructure: every component is assembled using internal and external welding to create a homogeneous, strong and durable structure.
Over the years, Alubat has developed unique expertise in aluminium yacht construction, notably through the use of semi-thick aluminium plating. This approach is one of the defining technical characteristics of the new-generation OVNI yachts.
A demanding choice, guided by a simple conviction: at sea, safety and peace of mind are essential and leave no room for compromise.
Behind every yacht are skilled people, aluminium fabricators, painters, cabinetmakers, mechanics, electricians, plumbers and deck-equipment specialists, all putting their expertise to work towards a common goal: building reliable, durable yachts ready to sail every sea in the world.
When your yacht sets sail, our support does not end there. A new adventure begins. From familiarisation and coaching to maintenance, refit and the supply of spare parts, our teams remain by your side throughout the life of your yacht.
Alubat aluminium stands the test of time, retaining its inherent strength against the elements.
Who better than our owners to talk about the Alubat experience?
From their first nautical miles to ocean passages, from family cruising to adventures around the world, many sailors have chosen an Alubat to experience freedom at sea.
First off, I’d like to congratulate all the teams who worked on my yacht. The boat is superb and was delivered right on schedule. Well done. I went out three times yesterday with my friends; the boat handles beautifully at sea.
We’re still enjoying Poc a Poc Tito, which has given us so many wonderful adventures at sea. Your expertise and passion have played a huge part in that.
Having spent our first winter maintaining and improving our OVNI 385, in 2025 we embarked on a wonderful voyage around the islands of southern Brittany, followed by crossing the Bay of Biscay so we could explore the Spanish rias between Gijón and A Coruña. Not a single problem to report! Nothing but pure joy!
The performance of our OVNI 430 is intriguing: we took three days off Red Lion on our Pacific crossing. They set off 48 hours ahead of us and arrived 28 hours after; and two days against a Contest 49 that set off with us from Panama… At the same time, many others took 35 days or more… So our time of under 29 days, with virtually no motoring, puts an end to any debate about slowness when it comes to OVNIs!
We’ve covered 30,000 nautical miles and clocked up 1,000 hours of engine use on our four-year voyage aboard CAP’, our 2017 OVNI 395, which we bought second-hand from Alubat in 2020. We’ve had no serious problems with the boat. Setting off from the Balearic Islands via Gibraltar, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, crossing the Atlantic, Cuba, Panama, crossing the Pacific, French Polynesia, a return trans-Pacific crossing via Patagonia and Cape Horn, we’re now planning a trip to Antarctica, and much more…
Money can’t buy you happiness, but fortunately, you can buy yourself an OVNI 370 – and that in itself is happiness.
Just a quick note to let you know that our OVNI 365 has been sold. To quote the surveyor who inspected the boat prior to the sale: “The boat is in exceptional condition for its age and the number of miles sailed.” So, a big thank you to Alubat, who build sturdy and durable boats.
I spent a week in Pornic, Brittany with Bénédicte and my daughters enjoying my OVNI 370, as shown in this photo (8 knots close-hauled)… Sheer joy!
Thanks to Alubat, we’ve enjoyed 18 years of happiness and sailing adventures aboard our OVNI 395.
Everything’s going great. We’re now at the Arctic Circle! We’ve got a month left before we start preparing for winter storage in Bodø. Here’s our OVNI 490 off the Seven Sisters mountain range at 66°N.
We’ve had a brilliant time: Pétillante has fulfilled all our desires.
The OVNI 490 is a real pleasure both under sail and at anchor.
It’s very stable and feels very safe in the conditions we’ve encountered (up to 30 knots). Handling is easy, even with just two of us on board. Performance is good, especially on passage when we compare ourselves to other boats on the AIS!
